LAMINATE & ENGINEERED FLOORS - BACK

Laminate flooring takes its inspiration from nature.  Carefully copied, laminate flooring takes naturally occurring patterns and painstakingly replicates color tones and hues.

Multiple layers compose each laminate, deliberately varied to look and even feel like wood. In addition, reproducing the effects of centuries-old hand-working techniques creates timeless vintage appeal. And with today's technology, laminate flooring can be top-finished for even greater endurance than the natural counterparts.

Although laminate is often thought of as a synthetic product, it too can be considered green in many instances. The harmful chemicals used in old laminate floors are being replaced by new low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) rated substances. Many manufacturers are even using up to 75% recycled content to manufacture laminate floors. The remaining new components are made from fast-growing southern pine that is replenished at a 6-1 ratio over each harvest.

Additionally, because laminates don't retain allergens or dust mites, they're beneficially hypoallergenic. And they are easy to clean: no waxes, polishes, detergents or abrasive cleaners are ever needed.
